The 2026 Ward-Based Stakeholder Consultations were in full swing, and the engagement has been incredible! We have successfully connected with residents in all wards.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated physically—your energy and ideas are the driving force behind our community's development.

For all the wards, we have now started inviting budget inputs through their respective WhatsApp platforms. This will allow residents who were unable to participate in the physical engagements to contribute to this very important 2026 Ward-Based Budget Consultation. Chegutu Municipality is in the process of carrying out ward-based budget feedback meetings. This is a platform for highlighting budget performance, achievements, challenges, and the way forward or solutions. Residents are given the opportunity to express their views and indicate the council areas requiring attention.

Chegutu Municipality 2024 Budget Approved

The Municipality of Chegutu wishes to inform its valued residents and ratepayers that the 2024 annual budget for Chegutu Municipality has been approved by the Minister of Local Government & Public Works in terms of the Urban Councils Act [Cap. 29:15] and the Public Finance Management Act [Cap. 22:19], paving way for implementation of same, effective April 2024.
