Construction of the Chegutu Seventh Day Adventist University

Construction works have commenced at the Chegutu Seventh Day Adventist University site. The piece of land was donated to the church by Chegutu Municipality as an investment promotion strategy.

The university is expected to attract other investments along the value chain, such as accommodation, shopping, and catering facilities, which are all expected to improve local economic development. The University has already started constructing the main Administration block, with the contractor, Mr. Machado advising that construction of the restaurant and catering facilities would also be done concurrently with the administration block, while palisade fencing of the stand boundary along the Harare-Bulawayo Highway was already in progress. The university is expected to draw students from across the country and its focus on technology and innovation would contribute to the development of Chegutu and the country at large.
