Chegutu Municipality has prioritized rehabilitation and upgrading of the sewerage network in 2020, particularly in the old suburbs.

The project is set to address sewer blockages often experienced in the old suburbs. Some of the sewer pipes have since been procured and delivered, while the delivery of another consignment is still awaited. The rehabilitation and upgrading project will significantly improve efficiency of the sewer network and, resultantly, sanitation conditions in the targeted residential suburbs will also be enhanced.
