Chegutu Municipality has resumed the installation of post-paid domestic water meters, with the view to ensure accurate billing of Municipal water and reducing non-revenue water.

The installation has started with properties in the Heroes suburb and would proceed to other residential areas accessing consistent supplies of Municipal water. The Municipality has a target to install 4,000 water meters. Residents are appreciating the water meters’ installation project, which will assist them to manage their domestic water consumption patterns, a situation that would also ensure access to the precious commodity by residents in other suburbs currently not accessing the water.
