Chegutu Municipality has started embarking on the project to upgrade the sewer reticulation network through replacing old clogged AC pipes with PVC pipes.

The project is set to improve the flow of effluent from residential areas to the sewer ponds, thereby addressing current challenges of frequent sewer blockages. The project is being implemented in phases, starting with sections of the old suburbs that are currently experiencing acute problems of sewer blockages.
