Chegutu Municipality procured a brand new CAT self-propelled Steel Vibratory Roller to be used for compaction of roads. The roller was delivered on the 17th April 2019. The new piece of equipment comes at an opportune time as Council rolls-out a roads construction and rehabilitation programme within the residential suburbs.
The Municipality has realised that it is economical in the long run to have its own equipment for road works than to hire out the machinery. With support from ratepayers through timeous payment for Council dues, the Municipality will continue on the path of modernising the Council area in terms of roads and other infrastructure, commensurate with the Municipal urban habitat.
